AS RSTA was established 27.09.93 on behalf of Estonian Ministry of Transport and Communication as Accounting Authority and officially registered in International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Geneva with AAIC EE02.

Now we provide Radio Maritime and Satellite Traffic Accounting for more than 200 ships under Estonian, Belize, Bolivian, Cambodia, Cyprus, Equatorial Guinea, Malta and St. Vincent Flags.

24.10.95 we join S.P.Radio team as an official National distributor in Estonia for famous in maritime market SAILOR products.

Since the beginning of our co-operation with S.P.Radio we have installed and commissioned more than 100 GMDSS A1, A2 and A3 radio stations on board of sea going ships.

Third main stage of our activity – Distributor Appointment (25.07.96) and Distributor Agreement (18.01.99) with Norwegian company JOTRON electronics a.s. – world known manufacturer of life-saving equipment for ships and aircraft.

As an expert in GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) we

are officially recognized by Estonian National Maritime Board, Det Norske Veritas, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and Russian Maritime Register of Shipping to held Radio Survey on board old SOLAS-74 and GMDSS ships.

Modern maritime communication is based on satellite communication. AS RSTA became Inmarsat Service Provider in April 1998 (ISP Code – 8135). Now we can offer special rates for Inmarsat A, B, C and Mini-M communication in co-operation with Inmarsat Service Providers. We are also developing shore-to-ship facilities for E-mail messages.

Coming new Chapter V of SOLAS-74 Convention AS RSTA is meeting with Litton Marine Systems. One our engineer is trained for service of whole scope of navigation equipment LMS.
